Should I enroll in teletherapy or in person sessions?

This is a decision that should be made based on your preferences and the current level of need. Teletherapy is a great option for a busy lifestyle, if you do not live in the Walnut Creek area, and/or based on your level of comfort for in person services. This is a concern that can be discussed during your free consultation.

What COVID precautions are in place?

Sounds & Words employees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including all updated boosters. Masks are worn at the discretion of each therapist. Toys and materials are cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Yes, we are accepting new clients.

What are your fees?

We are committed to providing services that are accessible to those who need them. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about cost and we will be happy to discuss options with you.

Do you accept insurance?

We currently accept some insurance policies. Please contact us to learn if we are an in network provider with your health insurance carrier.

Do you write super bills?

A detailed superbill outlining the services provided can be given upon request, however we require a recent speech and language evaluation with diagnostic information be provided. It is the responsibility of the client to pay upfront and submit the superbill to their insurance company.

Will insurance cover the PEERS program?

In our experience some insurance companies will cover all or a portion of the cost for the teen or young adult but not the social coach. We are happy to provide a superbill if requested.
